We invite you to be a part of one of the upcoming Business Mission Trips to Mexico. Our Business Hosts, Tim and Roberta Rovenstine, are ready willing and able to host a fabulous trip for the standard 8-days or a shorter trip of only 5-days. Tim has long term relationships with many of his friends that he has made after living and working in Mexico for more than 30 years. Each January, thousands of monarch butterflies net in the mountains near the Rovenstine home make an exciting cultural experience to go along with the hard work. Also, in March of each year, we the Business Women in the Marketplace event proves to be an exciting time for leading ladies to fellowship and share business concepts that have made them successful. In April (dates to be announced) in Morellia, Mexico for all businessmen and women.

This is a great opportunity for you to use your business skills to help our neighbors to our south as they strive to improve their way of life and stop the need for a move to the USA. In each of these trips, a specific effort will be made to reach the young business professionals and entreprenuers between the ages of 25 and 40. This group is Mexico’s hope for the future and with your help, we can change some of the mindset that has been permiating throughout Mexico.

You will visit existing businesses owned by Christians and talk with them one-on-one about problems and challenges that they face every day. It is a great exchange of ideas and is a great way to stop the hand-out but give a hand-up. Business visits will be taylored to match your business type, when at all possible.

For those that would like to speak at a church service, you will be given the opportunity to lead a Sunday morning service, when the situation permits. You will see that the Christian teaching has reached a pretty high level but the is most needed is “implementation”.

Mongolia. This land is rough, and the rough inhabit it. Winters: average temperature of –13 degrees Fahrenheit, Roads: less than 4% are paved, bathrooms: outhouses are the norm, and water: no potable water systems in the entire country. Mongolia is vast, being the 18th largest country in the world, and is landlocked between Russia and China. Even though it has been 20 years since the Mongolian people broke the shackles of communism, the free market and the country as a whole is still struggling to walk on its own two legs. The younger generation is hungry for success and notoriety in the marketplace of the 21st century. They are slowly obtaining more and more influence and power that will make this a possibility in the near future. This is the Mongolia that we met, rough but optimistic.

In less than 24 hours of our arrival Gary Shotton, Daniel Matlach, and four Mongolian nationals were out on the (rocky) road . GBSF linked arms with the Mongolian NGO VET N.E.T. which has an extensive network established in the smaller countryside communities. Business owners, school teachers, and government employees, made up the majority of the more than five hundred attendees in the four different cities where we held our business seminars. These seminars opened the door for Gary and Daniel to visit businesses and consult their owners which included a small farm and ranch, a small clothing manufacturer, a restaurant owner, and a city mayor. This is where the real face to face ministry takes place and it was exciting to leave behind Bibles, business ideas, and hope!

Two churches and one of the major universities in the capital city also desired to have business seminars held at their facilities. The opportunity to show biblically how God desires us to conduct business and to exhort those just taking the plunge into the business world was invigorating!

Due to the fact that Mongolia is a developing nation, it is a perfect fit for any level of businesspeople from the U.S.A. to come and divulge their knowledge. From first time start ups, to full manufacturing plants, all different forms and types of businesses are eager to gain beneficial knowledge on how to successfully navigate the free market. So the question is, do you have time to change a person, a family, a nation? Mongolia is eagerly waiting with open ears and eyes for what you have to say, so sign up today and get ready for your trip of a lifetime!

One of the five aspects of a typical Business Mission Trip is “Business Visitations”. This is a very enjoyable part of every trip because the participants get to go “inside” the business and see how things “really work”. The visits are normally about 1 hour and it is a great time for the participants to learn and share in a one-on-one setting.

Coffee Shop and Restaurant in Guatemala: Maria lives in Quetzaltinango, Guatemala and has owned her business for more than 10 years. Her parents raised coffee beans and this has helped her in many of the technical skills. Owning the business has not been an easy journey. With 15 employees, one of the difficult things to overcome has been teaching the native workers about “customer service”. Maria is involved in the total process of the business: purchasing the coffee beans from local farmers, roasting & blending the beans in her shop, and serving a menu of food and pastries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Maria’s son helps her each Saturday to roast the coffee beans in this automated roasting and drying unit. They have a lot of capacity to increase their production. Plans are in the works to add an “espresso” service for those that want a quick cup of coffee.

The basket on the left has bags of coffee beans that are privately labeled. Maria discusses possibilities with Shauna Shotton about exporting these “select” coffee blends.

Missionary Jack Colson is discussing with Maria about ways to train the native workers on the importance of “customer service” in the coffee shop.

The coffee shop and restaurant has continued to grow in size and profit.

We can pray and thank God for the “diligence” shown by Maria for her business: Proverbs 21:5 “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty; but the thoughts of everyone who is hasty only to poverty”

It is our desire and prayer that the Christian businesspeople of Guatemala see that God has called them to a very important role within the Body of Christ and that they will have the wisdom to see that calling and walk in it. We desire to come along side of these people to encourage them and assist them in being used of God to reach their countries for Christ.

The future of every nation is in the hands of their university students and one main aspect of every Business Mission Trip is “University Lectures”. In a recent trip to Guatemala City by Gary, Cindy (Gary’s wife), and Shauna (their daughter), Gary had a very enjoyable time speaking to students at the Universidad Galileo. As you can see by the pictures, this university is a very high tech, modern university and the students were aggressive learners.

University Lecture by Gary Shotton in one of the leading technical universities in Guatemala:

These students were willing to come to a one hour lecture on their own time, in the middle of their finals week. This reflects the aggressive interest they have to learn from American businesspeople. The students in this student body are a selected group that have been allowed to attend this very modern facility.

We in the USA may think we are significantly ahead of the rest of the world, but this is not true. America may be the sleeping giant as the rest of the world is getting ready to pass us by. People all over the world want to prosper, and we know that true prosperity comes from “knowing God”.

This is a picture of the outside of the University. The library, book store, and other support facilities were equal to most American Universities.

Pray and thank God with us for opportunity to have an influence on the next generation in other countries: Our goal is for these students to learn about God’s provision for them as stated in Matthew 11:29 & 30 where Jesus said, “Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light”

This Business Mission Trip to Guatemala is during the Memorial Day Holiday so you will only miss 4 days of work and we guarantee that this trip will be one that will be very “memorable”.

The trip will include:

Business Mission Trips are specially designed to be affordable. The cost to go to most countries is $995 for an eight-day trip and includes ground transportation, accommodations, meals, interpreter, travel insurance, and admissions to most cultural events. The cost does not include airfare, visas (when applicable), or shopping money.

It is our opinion that since this is a missions-oriented business trip, your journey may be considered a tax deduction, if you wish. Check with your accountant to see if your trip qualifies.

Your time involvement prior to departing should also be considered in the overall cost analysis because as you know, time is money. Please be prepared to spend approximately twenty hours total time in preparation for your journey. This time involvement includes everything from securing your travel visa or passport to studying and preparing for the different activities you select to be involved in during your stay.

This could be the turning point of your life, so why wait any longer? Click here to obtain more information for your very own Business Mission Trip. Now is the time to use your God-given talents to help others all over the world!

Global Business Success Foundation is an Oklahoma Corporation with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. GBSF is not affiliated with any one denomination but works with all Christian denominations. GBSF believes in creating unity within the Body of Christ.

Our Mission

To identify and develop Christian business leaders who will utilize the resources within their respective countries to fulfill the Great Commission.

Our Focus

Our focus is to primarily work through established local churches or Bible training centers in hosting countries. The first objective is to search out and select pastors that have a sincere desire to develop the businessperson.

The Business Mission Trips program is aggressively encouraging	churches to develop Bible studies and prayer groups to regularly meet and focus on the Biblical aspects of serving God in business.

Our Doctrinal Statement

We believe	the Bible to be the inspired, only	infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return in power and glory. We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost: the saved to the resurrection of life and the lost to damnation. We believe in creating unity within the Body of Christ.

Our Core Values

Faith
We receive direction, provision, and motivation directly from God and	His Word to take the Gospel to the world.

Integrity
We	are who we say we are, and we always do the right thing, regardless of expediency.

Relationships
We have servants’ attitudes, and we go to heroic lengths to meet the needs of others.

Vision
We dare to dream as big as God dreams, and we believe that with God on our side, we can achieve the impossible.

Excellence
We demand of ourselves uncompromising quality, and we strive to be people who demonstrate excellence in everything we do.

Our Divisions

Business Mission Trips
To identify and develop Christian business leaders who will utilize the resources within their respective countries to fulfill the Great Commission.

Seminars
Professional speakers are contracted for speaking services. These are proven professional speakers that have written and published books.

Consulting
Professional consultants are contracted for business consulting services. These are proven professional consultants that have written materials that are provided as a part of their consulting service.

Media
Books, tapes, and teaching materials that are sold at seminars and via	the internet. With these methods of distributing business support	materials, the student of business will have products in their	possession that will last much longer than the paid event they	attended. Our goal is to keep products affordable in order to	distribute large volumes of materials.

Trade
Almost every country is looking to do business in areas of importing and exporting. We will link them with contacts and provide oversight that will encourage people to do business together.

Business Tours USA
A number of foreign business people would like to come to America in order to learn business first hand. We assist them in that endeavor.

It’s Easy to Qualify for a BMT Trip

Our Mission

To identify and develop Christian business leaders who will utilize the resources within their respective countries to fulfill the Great Commission.

Just as our mission statement proclaims, we are looking for Christian men and women who have been involved in any aspect of business and are willing to share their God-given resources to help spread the Good News. We believe the following qualities best exemplify the character traits we wish to promote to foreign business people. These are the chief qualifications you must possess before participating in a Business Mission Trip.

Christian

First and foremost, you must be a follower of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to share key business principles that are based on God’s Word with foreign business people. Your personal experiences as a Christian business man or woman are what you have to share with your foreign hosts.

Business Oriented

No matter what your business involvement or history, from the minimum-wage employee to the CEO of a multinational corporation, you have a unique perspective of what is involved in your line of work. Foreign business people have a desire to learn all there is to know about every aspect of American business.

Leadership

Leadership skills help develop character and propel men and women toward greatness. For some, leadership skills come quite naturally. For the majority, these skills are learned. If you have the desire to grow in your leadership potential and to achieve great things for Christ, our training will help you do just that.

Resource Provider

You must know and understand that the purpose of your trip is to provide resources to foreign business people. We do no provide monetary resources, but instead bring solid Biblical-based ideas, examples, strategies, and methods that will equip others with the tools they need to grow their businesses and in turn bless others.

As our network expands and our Business Host program grows, there will be no limit to the foreign countries to which Business Mission Trips will travel. This also means that trips can form easily and quickly to fit your particular schedule. Currently, we have the following destinations available for trips:

When you participate in a Business Mission Trip, not only will you help nurture and develop foreign business leaders like yourself, but you will also have the opportunity to experience the culture. Travelers will visit a wide variety of national monuments and historical sites, attend athletic events, enjoy fine dining, and experience local cultural events.

Each Business Mission Trip is unique. The trip will utilize the cost savings of group travel, but will not consist of large group activities with participants on exactly the same agenda. The group will work together through a ten-stage preparation count down prior to departure from the USA. Team members will leave the USA confident, united, and ready to face the challenge ahead.

Here are the five activities that you can expect to experience on a normal business mission trip:

1. Business Mentoring

It is a new concept for many people in foreign countries to think that Godliness and business can go together. The market place is not often viewed as a ministry opportunity. As a lecture speaker, you can mentor and disciple businessmen in small groups.

The primary teaching is based on solid Christian biblical and ethical business principles. You will be enabling Christian business people to financially support their local churches, sponsor and donate to special projects, and support missionary work to other countries.

2. Business Visitations

Teams may visit business owners and/or managers to share one-on-one about their successes and mistakes in business. This is a great source of encouragement for them to hear how others have overcome the challenges they face. Team members will see that the basics of business are the same in every country.

3. University Lectures

The next generation of business people in every nation is in college right now. Trip participants are encouraged to draw from their own background and lecture on a business topic to help prepare these future business leaders for the marketplace in their own developing nations. Since English is the universal business language, we as English speakers already have a great platform from which to share. This is an exciting and powerful arena in which you are invited to participate in.

4. Biblical Teachings

Your team can be invited to share as guest speakers at the regular Sunday morning service or other mid-week church and or small group services. When available this could include sharing at a local Bible College or Bible training center.

This is the time where you are encouraged to teach on overtly Biblical principles that will motivate business people to see their importance in the Body of Christ and advance their knowledge of the Word of God as it pertains to their work place.

5. Cultural Experiences

Teams may visit the national monuments and historical sites, watch an athletic event, enjoy fine dining, and experience a variety of cultural events. Team members may choose to stay in the homes of local sponsors, allowing them the opportunity to become more acquainted with local customs and culture. And for those that like to shop, rest assured that there is always market or peddler ready to help you find a unique treasure to take home!
