The future of every nation is in the hands of their university students and one main aspect of every Business Mission Trip is “University Lectures”. In a recent trip to Guatemala City by Gary, Cindy (Gary’s wife), and Shauna (their daughter), Gary had a very enjoyable time speaking to students at the Universidad Galileo. As you can see by the pictures, this university is a very high tech, modern university and the students were aggressive learners.

These students were willing to come to a one hour lecture on their own time, in the middle of their finals week. This reflects the aggressive interest they have to learn from American businesspeople. The students in this student body are a selected group that have been allowed to attend this very modern facility.
We in the USA may think we are significantly ahead of the rest of the world, but this is not true. America may be the sleeping giant as the rest of the world is getting ready to pass us by. People all over the world want to prosper, and we know that true prosperity comes from “knowing God”.
This is a picture of the outside of the University. The library, book store, and other support facilities were equal to most American Universities.
Pray and thank God with us for opportunity to have an influence on the next generation in other countries: Our goal is for these students to learn about God’s provision for them as stated in Matthew 11:29 & 30 where Jesus said, “Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light”
It is our desire and prayer that the Christian businesspeople of Guatemala see that God has called them to a very important role within the Body of Christ and that they will have the wisdom to see that calling and walk in it. We desire to come along side of these people to encourage them and assist them in being used of God to reach their countries for Christ.
